Summer Glau
The first TV appearance of Glau was a guest appearance as ballerina in a 2002 episode of the popular television show Angel. Director Joss Whedon saw her and cast her as River Tam on his short-lived TV series Firefly. The actress also appeared in the role for the sequel Serenity. Glau was previously auditioned for the Power Ranger role (White Wild Force Ranger Alyssa Erile, White Wild Force Ranger) in Power Rangers Wild Force. She was ultimately defeated by Jessica Rey before meeting Whedon. She played Shelly who was a high school senior, in the episode Sleepover. She was also featured on the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode, "What's Eating Gilbert Grissom?" " The second season of The Unit as Crystal Burns (the girl from Jeremy Erhart). Glau was the paranoid schizophrenia recurrence Tess Doerner in season 2 of The 4400. She became a regular in season 3 and beyond. Mammoth was her horror comedy role. Glau was also cast in ABC Family TV's feature film The Initiation of Sarah. Glau played Cameron Phillips in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The series first aired on January 13, 2008. The 7th episode of the show, "The Demon Hand" included a number of scenes where Glau, in character as Cameron was seen dancing ballet. In the second season's episode "Allison From Palmdale" (season 2), Glau played Allison Young, Cameron's human doppelganger. Glau played herself in an CBS episode in 2009 of the Big Bang Theory's situation comedy.
