Amy Smart was an American model and actress. The modeling career she began with was in Italy which is where she was raised and born in California. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film that she played her first part in, was her debut role. She struggled to get the role she wanted on Starship Troopers. In the beginning, it was hard for Amy switching from modeling to acting. This is because most models don't have the ability to act. They are typically assigned small and insignificant role. But somehow Amy did not give up and transitioned to larger roles, beginning with the show The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. Amy later stepped into lead roles in the love story Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for her work in the last 10 years. Amy went on to work in many of the greatest films including the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless with Jason Statham, in which she played a recognizable character.
